In this Q&A with Manhattan Physical therapy, Sean discusses how to safely and effectively get started with a running regimen
My greater mission with running has always been to be a force of positive change to as many people as possible. I believe, simply, running positively changes a person (it has with me) and therefore, by extension positively changes the world. During my time as a coach this focus has taken many different roles, some of which include: inaugural board member and volunteer of USATF - New York; a Coaching Specialist for the NYRR Youth & Community Services Public School Track & Field Program serving thousands of underserved school children; and being an ambassador of sorts for the sport - guest speaker on Sirius Satellite Radio discussing ‘youth running’ and contributing to magazines and periodicals running-related articles. 2019 proved to be no different with the exception that a couple of my contributions to running related articles were in media outlets that have a wider, mass-media reach: GQ and NYMAG. This has been an extremely exciting development for me - the idea of reaching out to millions about running - and has spawned so new larger ideas going forward.

Thanks Ed & Debbie for the kind words! You're both an absolute pleasure to know and a privilege to coach!
In my latest contribution to the lifestyle online magazine - www.thejoyfulapproach.com, I talk about structuring your 2017 resolutions in the same way you would a running training cycle.
